All classes will be taught in six week sessions. Students will be able to join in week 1 or 2. Students waiting for a session to begin may join our Sunday drop-in class for an introductory tango lesson.*
Drop in Clinic (Sunday See Classes Schedule)
This session may be used as a “clinic” for anyone wanting to work on or trouble-shoot a difficult concept or combination.
Weekly Practica - THURSDAY EVENINGS
Students are highly encouraged to attend our weekly practica where they can practice what they are learning in class. The practica is run like a milonga so that students may also practice tango etiquette. However, it is OK to stop and ask for help from or to give feedback to fellow dancers. The practica is included in the price of the group class. It is also open to the general public for $5.
Monthly Milonga (See Event schedule)
Every month, we break out the tables and linens in the ballroom for a formal evening of Argentine Tango. Our DJ's come from all the tango communities in Central and Western New York. Most months, our guest DJ will offer a pre-milonga workshop.
Fernanda Ghi and Guillermo Merlo, Diego DiFalco and Carolina Zokalski are four of the finest Argentine instructor in the world. They are my inspiration and taught me to teach and dance tango the way I do. If you learn more about them, you will understand more about me.
Our practica is not to be missed. It's a great to practice what you have learned in class in a supportive environment. Grab a glass of wine or a delicious snack at the Cantina and dance the night away.
Everyone is different! Learning to dance Argentine Tango with others is a valuable learning technique in my classes. You have the opportunity to better build your skills and allow others to improve as well. It's enjoyable and the best way to improve.
